I don’t know about you, but these days, YouTube softwares that promise page one rankings overnight seem to be a) in fashion, and b) crap.

Shame but for the most part, true. anyone can rank a video super fast. But will it stick? And is it for a keyword that actually gets traffic?

Ranking on YouTube requires a process. A blueprint.

It also requires, for harder to rank videos, certain things to be ‘continually’ done.

And there are some videos that require a lot more work than others.

Tube Architect teaches you this in clear over-the-shoulder video tutorials. 50 in total (added a few after the review video- and that may rise too). Not only that, but there are 4 interviews with underground video SEO guys. One of these folks was even asked by Alex Becker to do some work for him to get his new channel ranking.

People are tired of gimmicks. Me too. So this is for those who want to rank…period.

Warning: No black hat stuff inside. This is not overnight stuff, but real long term strategies that work. Some of the tutorials are basic, but that does not mean they should be left out. Some are more advanced.

    Hi Adam,

Got a couple of “up front” questions for you!

    1. Are we talking about ranking on page 1 of Google or at the top of the YouTube results?

    2. Will this work for local business videos, affiliate videos or both?

    3. You might not want to answer this one but how well are you doing with video marketing? Can you make a full time income from the income from your YouTube videos (as opposed to your product sales)? (Sorry if it’s a bit rude to ask but have no idea of your results/what qualifies you to create a product on how to rank. Hope you don’t take that the wrong way 😉

    4. Can you recommend any decent courses on how to create videos that convert?

    Thanks in advance,

    Richard

      Hi Richard,

Thanks for the questions and here are my replies:

      1. Both. BUT, everyone needs an element of realism and patience. If you try and rank for ‘How to lose weight’ then good luck. Nothing is impossible but some for some keywords, you are going up against people/companies with bigger budgets, better videos and huge audiences. Things take time in many cases and constant tweaks.

Also, the two are not connected so you may rank on one and struggle on another. And you do not need to be #1. That’s a misconception. I have on video, for example, that is stuck at #4 on Youtube, but the only video on page one of Google. It’s not #1 on Google but it is the only video, and the thumbnail makes it stand out = conversions.

      2. Both

      3. How long is a piece of string? I don’t mind anyone asking. Product sales are one income stream but you’d need to launch once a month minimum I’d say to make that work. And then of course, you’d be lying to people as the only money you make would be from the product sales.

I make money from YT in these ways: a) Lead Gen to follow-up email to affiliate sales. b) Direct sales to offers c) Consulting – I help, for example, E-commerce people set up their income streams and they pay me to help them d) Private coaching e) Adsense from traffic to niche sites-not on the videos themselves. My income is only really relevant to me though. It has no effect on anyone else.

There are plenty of folk who make a full-time income from video. But ranking alone is about getting eyeballs. Then you need the video to lead somehwere. So you need that page to look the part, be mobile responsive and have decent copy. Then your email follow ip needs to do the job. This is just one example but it all starts with getting targeted people on your stuff. That is what this course teaches – The ranking which equals the eyeballs.

No-one said it as easy. It’s hard work. I failed many times and continue to do so with many projects.

      4. It depends what you mean by convert? Make a straight sale? Get an opt-in? And it depends on the type of video you want to make. What software do you have? A script is key too.

      Hope that helps.

      Adam

      PS…Apologies for any typos.

    Hi Adam,

Many thanks for taking the time to respond – it’s much appreciated.

I’ve been skirting the edge of affiliate video marketing for about 8 years (yeah, I know!)

I’ve made decent money making videos for local businesses (video production) but am looking more towards getting some passive income coming in, too (even if it needs a lot of work to set up.)

What stops me really getting into that is 2 things: 1. I don’t know how to rank videos consistently and 2. I don’t know what kinds of videos actually convert (when I write “convert” I mean “where people click through to whatever page the video is promoting.”)

There are tons of courses, done-for-you videos, and products available on creating videos but I haven’t got a clue if they’d bring in any sales even if followed them and then ranked the videos…

I suppose what I’m trying to do is stack the odds in my favour rather than just throwing stuff at a wall and hoping it sticks…

That’s why I’m looking for someone who teaches video marketing who knows what they’re talking about. I put that “needs to make a full-time income from video marketing” requirement in there because that’s the only way I can tell if they actually know what they’re talking about (and I mean income stemming from their videos – like a., b. and e from your list – rather than teaching about video marketing.)

Assuming you fit the bill (send me an email if you don’t) – your course sounds good because you’re covering the ranking part 😉

In addition to that I could do with pointing in the right direction as far as the video creation part goes (i.e. what actually generates clicks and, therefore, income.

I know landing pages, lists, email marketing, etc, are important, too. That would be the third piece of the puzzle for me.

If you could point me in the right direction regarding pieces 2 and 3 of the puzzle, it’d be appreciated (and of course, you could release a course on those if you like! 😉

    Cheers,
    Richard
P.S. Apologies for the massive response!

      Hi Richard,

Well, my course covers the ranking aspect. Like I said, no magic button. And some videos require constant care, others not so.

Conversions are dependant on the value of the video, the scripts, placement of annotation etc.

I can help with the SEO, the email follow up, the relationship building. I also cover paid ads in the course.

But I am not a pro at creating visually excellent videos and thus I do not try to teach it.

      Best

      Adam

I cannot answer your question 100% because every video/niche is a case by case basis.

    Hi Adam,

I notice that couple of your example rankings are for IM product launches/reviews – not really of interest to me as I’m more interested in ranking for higher searched, information-based terms like your “how to get rid of insomnia” video…

Can you give us an idea of what kind of volume the terms you rank for can get? (or some of the volumes your more popular videos get?) (I’m trying to see if this is going to get me noticeable traffic or just a dribble!)

Also, do we need to get backlinks to these videos to get them to rank/stick?

Finally, do you talk about linking videos together to help them rank or similar strategies?

    Cheers!
