As the recession continues to take its course, it will be getting harder and harder to secure work, especially if you are currently unemployed or only working part-time.
The bigger problem is you still need to pay the bills and somehow support the lifestyle of your family.
Since this recession has started, there have been a lot of people lately that have realized that they don’t necessarily need the fancy office, the long commute or the stress and strain of being in a corporate office all day.
They have found a new way of living and working during these times.
Being at home has given them more insight into what they really want out of life; it has given them a chance to watch their kids grow, and be with their spouses a lot more.
Unfortunately, there are also those who have lost their sources of income completely due to the shutdown caused by the coronavirus.
They are at home and have no choice but to stay indoors in their apartments or homes, but also have not been able to find work, or even interview for a job.
How To Find Extra Work From Home
Whether you have decided that you want to stay at home from now on, or have no choice but to stay at home at this time, here are a few ideas to help generate some needed cash now:
1. Delivery
Since this pandemic has occurred, ordering takeout has been the new normal for many families.
There are opportunities to help with delivery either at your local restaurants, or if your country has such a delivery company as UberEats, you can find the freedom to work from home, take delivery requests from your smartphone and set your own time schedule.
2. Using a webinar service
Zoom and other webinar services have flourished during this crisis.
Without these services, it would have been difficult to continue to communicate and keep up with each other’s’ lives as well as do their jobs in as best a capacity as possible.

Some people even found that they don’t really need to go to the office that often anymore and are opting to stay at home indefinitely.
There are even a few companies that have decided to go online-based and have their employees telework from home permanently.
Have you ever thought about what you love doing, or what you believe you are really good at?
Maybe someone, a lot of someones, could really use your help.
Let’s say you’re a really good storyteller and your kids just love it when you read them bedtime stories.
Maybe there’s a mom or dad out there who has to work at night and can’t find the time to read their kids a story.
You could use the power of one of these webinar services and charge a monthly fee to households for your bedtime storytelling service.
Or you’re good at science or math. Maybe there are students out there stuck at home and they need some help with their homework.
You can be an online tutor and help them keep their grades up.
The sky is really the limit now with this technology!
Think about what you could offer. There’s sure to be something you can do!
A lot of these webinar services offer basic plans for free, and if you need more, you could upgrade along the way if you really need to.
3. Open an online store
Since this pandemic and recession, online commerce has literally boomed.
More Paypal accounts have been opened and people are more ready to buy online than ever before.
You could take advantage of this opportunity by opening your own online store and offering products and services that big companies have been offering for years.
You can even make your own designs and offer them as items that everyone needs, from t-shirts to shoes to shower curtains, only with your unique style and flair.

Opening your own store has become so much easier with companies like Shopify and BigCommerce, just to name a couple, that can get you setup and ready to go in less than a day.
They even make it easy to connect to manufacturers who can print your designs onto products and ship them directly to your customers.
There are some monthly fees involved, but the costs are probably lower than you think.
Why not check it out?
There are many people that have started ecommerce stores and have gone on to make six figure incomes.
Once they started, they never looked back!
4. Blogging
If you love writing or taking videos and showing others what you experience during the day, maybe you have the knack for being a blogger.

Or maybe you have a real passion for something, like how you lost 50 pounds, or a passion for astronomy.
While telling others about your experiences, you could also tell them about products that you use and recommend.
If those products have affiliate programs, you could introduce those products to your readers, guide them to the company website, and if they make a purchase, you could get a small commission.
Check out affiliate offer sites like Rakuten/Linkshare, Commission Junction, Refersion and ShareASale just to name a few, and apply to be an affiliate.
You’ll probably recognize many of the brands they offer as affiliate partners.
5. Be a search engine evaluator
Even though A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) has advanced leaps and bounds, it still sometimes gets it wrong.
We humans are a confusing lot!

That’s why search engine companies still ask for help in making sure that requested searches, and what the A.I. interpreted the request to be, are accurate.
Third party contractors like Lionbridge and Appen hire people throughout the world to check the work of famous search engines like Google and Bing.
You do need to take some pretty challenging tests, but if you pass and get hired, you usually get paid an hourly wage based on the average time it takes to complete a rating task.
There is training to keep you up to date and it is time consuming, but for some people who enjoy this kind of work, it allows them to be at home and enjoy a lot of their day.
You do, however, need to work at home, at a designated location, always for security reasons.
But they do not require you to set certain hours, which is why some people love this.
6. Freelance work
Finally, there are also freelance work sites, such as Fiverr, Upwork and Freelancer.

Freelance websites are where both people looking for work and employers can post offers to do freelance work.
This could be the start of turning your talent into some extra cash. You won’t get rich from it, but the work could be fun.
Apply for projects that you like and get in touch with people who could ask you for more work in the future.
Hopefully this has given you some ideas that you can make a living and not have to sit in an enclosed office to make an income anymore.
You can achieve freedom and less stress through these ways to generate money from home.
